From New York City to Denver, Democratic Socialism is ascendant. Socialists like Zohran Mamdani and Melat Kiros are sweeping deep blue electorates with unapologetic socialist messaging, and in January a cohort of a dozen socialists will enter Congress for the first time in the history of our nation.
As 2028 approaches, DSA must turn its eyes to the Oval Office. We must seize state power, abolish & prosecute ICE, enact a Green New Deal, pass Medicare for All, and finish Reconstruction.
There is no more time. We must run a Democratic Socialist for President.
The best-positioned and only candidate to deliver our agenda to the masses is Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
Join us at 6:30pm on September 11 at Locales to discuss the possibility of an AOC for President 2028 campaign, what it could mean for Democratic Socialist politics in Denver, and what DSA's role might be in a Presidential campaign coalition.
All interested in a DSA-backed 2028 campaign for the Presidency are welcome. 🌹
